Frequently Asked Questions

Working with Me

  • I work with a huge range of businesses, from independent service providers to established tech brands. My top priority is making sure we’re aligned on content style. So, feel free to reach out and we’ll see if we’re a good fit!

  • Easy, straightforward, and collaborative. I’m not one for long discovery calls or over complicating projects. Give me your brief, and I’ll create your content. I want to take as much of the stress off your shoulders as possible.

  • Both! I love creative one-off projects, so if you’re looking for a workbook, eBook, or course created, I’m all in.

But I also have ongoing clients I create monthly blog content for. Just think of me as your content fairy god mother — I’ll appear with a sparkle whenever you need me.

  • Blogs have a 2-day turnaround. Larger projects like website rewrites or eBook creation can take a week or more, depending on the size.

I’ll be able to give you a timeline once I’ve seen your project.

Website Copy & SEO

  • Website copywriting usually includes:

    • Messaging and positioning strategy

    • SEO-friendly copy

    • Homepage copy

    • Service pages

    • About page copy

    • Calls-to-action

    • Conversion-focused structure

    • Brand voice refinement

Basically: making your website clearer, more persuasive, and much easier for the right people to say “YES” to.

  • Absolutely! But in a normal-human way.

I don’t believe in stuffing awkward keywords into every second sentence like it’s 2012. Good SEO copy should rank and sound natural to read.

My approach combines keyword strategy, search intent, readability, internal linking, and conversion psychology so your site has a better chance of attracting the right traffic and converting it.

  • Yes. Honestly, most of my clients already have a website that’s pretty good.

Usually the issue isn’t “having no website.” It’s:

    • unclear messaging

    • weak calls-to-action

    • confusing structure

    • poor SEO

    • outdated copy

    • or a homepage that says a lot without actually saying anything

I can do a full website audit to show you all the things you need to fix, or I can rewrite your content for you.

  • If you have a Squarespace website, I’m happy to upload the content for you. Squarespace is my happy place, and I’m incredibly familiar with the interface.

If you use any other platform, you’ll have to upload the content yourself from a custom Google doc outlining what goes where.

Blogging & Content Marketing

  • Because your homepage and service page can’t rank for everything. Blogs help your website show up for the questions your audience is already searching for. They also build authority, improve internal linking, increase keyword reach, and give people more opportunities to discover your wonderful business organically.

  • Consistency is key. For most small businesses, publishing high-quality blogs regularly is far more effective than panic-posting 15 AI-generated articles in one weekend and disappearing for three months.

Aim for four strong blogs per month (one per week) to see a noticeable difference in traffic over time.

  • Yes! Keyword research is part of the strategy. I look at:

    • what your audience is actually searching for

    • ranking opportunities

    • search intent

    • competition

    • and topics that can realistically bring in traffic and enquiries

Because there’s no point writing blogs nobody is searching for.

  • ChatGPT is a tool, not an entire content strategy.

It can help with ideas and drafts, but without editing, expertise, structure, SEO understanding, and brand voice, AI-written content ends up sounding painfully generic.

And people are turning away from shallow AI content. So, whether you hire a writer or work on your own content, you’re much better sticking to human-generated words.

It’s basically the resource I wish I had when I was first starting out and learning everything the hard way.

  • Yes! It’s designed to be genuinely useful, not intentionally confusing so you’ll feel forced to hire someone.

Everything is written in easy-to-follow-steps with actionable advice you can actually apply to your website as you go.

  • That’s the goal! A clearer website, stronger messaging, better SEO, and more strategic content all increase your chances of attracting and converting your perfect clients.

Content Marketing Strategy

  • SEO is a long game, not a magic trick.

Some improvements can happen within weeks, but meaningful organic growth usually takes several months depending on your industry, competition, website quality, and consistency.

The businesses that win with SEO are usually the ones that keep showing up consistently instead of expecting one blog post to change their entire life.

  • No, and anyone guaranteeing #1 rankings should probably make you nervous.

Google changes constantly, and there are too many factors outside any copywriter’s or marketer’s control.

What I can do is create strategic, high-quality, search-focused content that gives your website a much stronger chance of performing well over time.

  • Usually websites don’t covert because at least one of these things is happening:

    • your messaging is unclear

    • visitors don’t immediately understand what you do

    • the site lacks trust signals

    • calls-to-action are weak

    • the copy focuses too much on you instead of the customer

    • or the website simply isn’t guiding people properly

Almost all websites I audit have a clarity problem. As soon as we clear that up, conversions naturally follow.

  • Good website copy is about making people quickly understand:

    • what you do

    • who it’s for

    • why it matters

    • and what to do next

The best website copy is clear, specific, and easy to follow. It speaks like a human, answers real questions, and focuses on the customer instead of trying to cram in as many buzzwords as possible.

A few simple ways to improve your copy include:

    • Lead with clarity before cleverness

    • Focus on benefits, not just features

    • Make your calls-to-action obvious

    • Break up large chunks of text

    • Use the language your audience naturally uses

    • Remove filler and fluff

    • Include trust signals like testimonials or results

    • Structure pages so they’re easy to skim

One of the biggest mistakes I see is businesses trying to sound “professional” and accidentally sounding robotic instead.

People connect with websites that feel clear, confident, and human.
